Atlantic Scuba was founded in 2007 by Mark Milburn. There is no 'shop' for people to call in, nor can we offer 'air fills' for either of these try Seaways Diving in Penryn. Mark learnt to dive himself in 1999 and started diving in Cornwall a year later when he bought his first RHIB to go diving. Since then he has completed 1000's of dives around Cornwall from depths as shallow as 3m down to 90m. He has also dived extensively abroad including Egypt, Thailand, Malta, Spain, Gibralta & Lanzarote. Mark has trained with several agencies including PADI, BSAC, TDI, DSAT & SDI in courses such as Closed Circuit Rebreather, Advanced Trimix, Advanced Gas Blender & Instructor (SDI/TDI). He now teaches the range of courses advertised on the home page of this site. Mark has also completed many boat handling courses over the years from both the RYA and Seafish (MCA). Mark completes roughly 400 dives a year, mainly in Cornwall, as he says 'wherever I can go really'. The north coast is his preferred location but as Mark says, 'it is unreliable regarding the weather.' Mark has also completed a WiSe (Wildlife Safe) boat handling course and is a member of the Fal Estuary Safety Committee Advisory Group. He is also one of the 'underwater resources' for the Cornwall Search & Rescue Team (CSRT). He has had underwater video footage on two different episodes of BBC's Inside Out and has had still photographs in local newspapers as well as Sport Diver magazine. He continues with his love of the camera........
